Executive Director of the Master Pools Guild, Dick Covert, shared “Everybody was so excited about this opportunity. We had 65 students take 2 days of their time, at the peak of the season no less, to devote to working on their business and leadership skills. We had many companies bring 2 generations and it was great to see and experience the sharing from generation to generation and company to company.”

Reviews and surveys afterwards confirmed Covert’s enthusiasm was shared by attendees.“This was a level one class and every student expressed an interest in attending the level 2 training - we are working with our partners at POOLCORP now to get that scheduled for 2019. Another interesting item we found on survey results from attendees was that the subject of “Creating a culture as an employer of choice” is a topic they would like to expanded for the level 2 training. That says a great deal about where these companies plan to position themselves in the pursuit of the next generation of employees.” Shared Teri Wiltshire, Special Projects Manager for the Master Pools Guild.
