Forever setting new trends in the pool and spa industry Gib-San Pools, Ltd, strives to provide their clients with unique, custom swimming pool environments and this pool and spa combination is an award winning example.

Gib-San Pools Outstanding Spa DesignWhile a current trend in pool design is having an attached spa that flows into the swimming pool, this design does the exact opposite – the swimming pool appears to flow into the spa which sits a bit lower than the pool.  The pool uses an underground reservoir to store the excess water needed and the effect is quite unique and certainly visually appealing.  The spa measures 8 feet in length and is 3 ½ feet deep.  The seats in the spa are contoured which required special forms be pressed into the concrete during construction.  Contoured spa seating, traditionally found primarily in fiberglass spas, conforms to your body and offers increased comfort.  Custom spa design also allows for jet placements to be varied providing the customer options for enhanced hydrotherapy benefits.

As part of The Master Pools Guild annual Excellence Awards Ceremony (March 2013), this spa by Gib-San Pools, Ltd., was honored with the first Outstanding Spa Award.  This new series of awards for outstanding designs were presented to entries scoring the highest points in their category during the judging process. Gregg Price, of A & A Manufacturing, an annual sponsor of Master Pools Guild, presented the award to Gib-San Pools.

What Makes An Outstanding Swimming Pool Builder?

Commitment to Quality, Safety & The Environment – Gib-San Pools, Ltd.

Gib-San Pools Ltd. recently announced an amazing achievement.  Gib-San is the first swimming pool company in the world to achieve certification for three ISO standards. ISO certification means that Gib-San's systems have been audited by a 3rd party registration body, who has declared that the systems meet the stringent requirements of the respective ISO standards.  The International Organization for Standardization is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.   The ISO is a non-governmental organization established in 1947 whose mission is to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services, as well as developing cooperation in the areas of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.

Why should ISO standards be important to you?   Let’s take a look at an example from an area of our daily lives.  The format of credit cards and bank cards was derived from an ISO International Standard. Adhering to the standard, which defines such features as an optimal thickness (0,76 mm), means that the cards can be used worldwide. You can depend on the functionality of the cards because they are all designed based on the standard.  International Standards contribute to making life simpler, and to increasing the reliability and effectiveness of the goods and services we use.

Gib-San Pools ISO Certif ications

  • ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems certification – This standard is recognized globally as the best quality management system in the world.  Gib-San received this certification in 2005.
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety certification. This certification deals with safety in the work place and safe handling, transporting and storage of swimming pool chemicals.  A benefit to clients as well as employees.  Gib-San was the first pool builder to attain this certification in 2006.
  • ISO 14001–Environmental. This certification is awarded for demonstrated commitment to environmental management as well as demonstrating ways to achieve continual improvements in reducing waste and recycling materials where appropriate. Gib-San attained certification in 2012.

Establishing standards for all processes in an environment as diverse as swimming pool construction is an enormous task.  Each project is unique encompassing elements that can include pool construction, landscaping, patios, outdoor kitchens, gazebos, etc. Gib-San has risen to the task of creating standard procedures for all aspects of their process from coordination of materials to the impacts of weather.  Regardless of the situation, Gib-San’s ISO system is in place providing guidance and proven, successful procedures.  ISO certification is a key element in The Gib-San Difference. ISO is recognized by global architects and general contractors and certification is clearly important when selecting suppliers for a good reason. It indicates the professional character of a company and its level of business systems to provide consistent quality. Gib-San applies these systems whether building commercial, estate or family pools.
